Sculptural art is a mirror of history, reflecting the ideology, aesthetics, society and culture of different times and places. Throughout the history of Buddhism in Thailand, there have been many different forms of Buddha statues, each one reflects one’s experience of the Buddha's teachings. These works of art, refined by the “mind”, offer a glimpse into the cultural and traditional values that Buddhism has nurtured and built up along with Thailand.
The Land of the Buddha, presents a complete display of rare Thai statues in Taiwan. From the "beauty of the statues", it leads the viewers to learn about the foundation of the beliefs in Thailand, and to explore how the people have been creating the “land of the Buddha” in the world of vanity.
